Revisions to the CDM-AR-PDD
The Executive Board can revise the template project design document forms which must be completed for new projects and these revisions come into effect once they are adopted by the Executive Board, unless a different date of effect is specified by the Executive Board in its decision to adopt the revisions:
Revisions come into effect once adopted by the Executive Board, bearing in mind the provisions below (EB 35, Annex 21, paragraph 9).
The Guidelines for completing the project design document and proposed new methodology for A/R specify that revisions to one of these forms do not affect already validated project activities or those submitted to a designated operational entity (DOE) within one month of the adoption of the new CDM-AR-PDD. However, 6 months after the new CDM-AR-PDD is adopted, the Executive Board will not accept requests for registration using the previous CDM-PDD:
Revisions to the CDM-AR-PDD do not affect A/R project activities:
- Already validated, or already submitted to the OE for validation, prior to the adoption of the revised CDM-AR-PDD;
- Submitted to the OEs within a month following the adoption of the revised CDM-AR-PDD;
- The Executive Board will not accept documentation using the previous version of the CDM-AR-PDD six months after the adoption of a new version (EB 35, Annex 21, paragraph 10).
