Content of the CDM-SSC-AR-PDD
The project design document for small-scale afforestation and reforestation (SSC A/R) projects (CDM-SSC-AR-PDD) is divided into 6 sections:
- General description of the project activity;
- Application of an approved baseline and monitoring methodology;
- Estimation of net anthropogenic removals by sinks over the crediting period;
- Environmental impacts;
- Socio-economic impacts; and
- Stakeholder comments.
This generally accords with the information required by 6/CMP.1, Annex, Appendix A to be included in a project design document. This section follows the structure of the CDM-SSC-AR-PDD, but the decisions in Appendix A are also extracted underneath the relevant sections below.

The Executive Board adopted Guidelines for completing the CDM-AR-PDD at EB 35, Annex 23, and these guidelines can be downloaded here. This annex contained Version 4 of the guidelines and replaced earlier guidelines at EB 26 Annex 25.
Attachments to the CDM-AR-SSC-PDD
The CDM-SSC-AR-PDD must attach:
- Annex I - Contact information on participants in the project activity;
- Annex 2 - Information on public funding;
- Annex 3 - Declaration on low-income communities.
