Revisions to the CDM-SSC-PDD
The Executive Board can revise the template project design document forms which new projects must complete and these revisions come into effect once they are adopted by the Executive Board:
Revisions come into effect once adopted by the Executive Board (EB 34, Annex 9, paragraph 10).
The Guidelines for completing the simplified project design document (CDM-SSC-PDD) and the form for proposed new small-scale methodologies (CDM-SSC-NM) specify that revisions to one of these forms do not affect validated project activities or already or those submitted to a designated operational entity (DOE) within one month of the adoption of the new CDM-AR-PDD. However, 6 months after the new CDM-AR-PDD is adopted, the Executive Board will not accept requests for registration using the previous CDM-PDD:
Revisions to the CDM-SSC-PDD do not affect R project activities:
- Already validated, or already made publicly available by an operating entity for receiving comments as referred to in paras 23 (b) and (c) of the simplified modalities and procedures for small-scale CDM project activities prior to the adoption of the revised CDM-SSC-PDD;
- Submitted to the DOEs within a month following the adoption of the revised CDM-SSC-PDD;
- The Executive Board will not accept documentation using the previous version of the CDM-SSC-PDD six (6) months after the adoption of a new version (EB 34, Annex 9, paragraph 11).
