EB 16, Annex 6, paragraph 2(c) and the CDM Glossary of Terms (Version 03) sets out the definition of a letter of approval.

5/CMP.1, Annex, paragraph 15(a) provides that written approval from each Party involved is required for validation.

EB 16, Annex 6, paragraph 1 sets out the contents of the letter of approval.

Special cases and exceptions are set out in EB 16, Annex 6, paragraph 3.
