6/CMP.1, Annex, Appendix A, paragraph 1 sets out the simplified modalities and procedures for small-scale CDM A/R projects in the first commitment period of the Kyoto Protocol, outlining the information required in a PDD for small-scale A/R projects.

6/CMP.1, Annex, paragraph 15(c) and (d) provide that small-scale afforestation and reforestation (SSC A/R) projects require designated operational entities (DOEs) to publicly display the CDM-SSC-AR-PDD so that comments can be received from stakeholders for a period of 30 days.

EB 25, paragraphs 92-3 provide that, when certain major changes are made to a PDD, such as a switch in the methodology which is to be applied, the DOE is required to make the amended version of the PDD publicly available for comment again.

5/CMP.1, Annex, paragraph 34(j) provides the procedures for deviations from the CDM-SSC-AR-PDD.
