Creating a new methodology using the F-CDM-SSC-AR-Subm form

The simplified modalities and procedures for small-scale projects permit the submission of proposals for new small-scale methodologies, or revision of existing methodologies:

Project participants involved in small-scale afforestation and reforestation project activities under the CDM may propose changes to the simplified baseline and monitoring methodologies specified in appendix B or propose additional project types for consideration by the Executive Board (6/CMP.1 Annex, paragraph 7).

In order to propose a new small-scale methodology, project participants must complete the F-CDM-SSC-AR-Subm form (Form for Submission on Small Scale Afforestation /Reforestation Methodologies and Procedures). To propose a new methodology, proponents must:

  • Provide a justification for proposing new methodologies; and
  • Propose draft new small-scale A/R methodologies, using the format of an approved small-scale A/R methodologies, and including a draft CDM-SSC-AR-PDD.

The latest version of F-CDM-SSC-AR-Subm can be downloaded here.
