5/CMP.1, Annex, paragraph 19 sets out the definition of a baseline for an afforestation or reforestation (A/R) CDM project activity.

5/CMP.1, Annex, paragraph 18 sets out the definition of additionality for afforestation and reforestation (A/R) projects.

5/CMP.1, Annex, paragraph 12(d) confirms additionality is a requirement for validation of A/R project activities, and will be confirmed by the DOE as part of the validation report.

EB 51, Annex 14 provides guidelines for when increases in GHG emissions related to displacement of pre-project crop cultivation activities in A/R CDM activity is insignificant and may be counted as zero.
